strong. CGI Federal is seeking a Systems Administrator to support
multi-platform development, validation, and operations environments
for a large federal agency. This role provides Windows and Linux
server administration, DevOps tooling support, MDE Ops platform
maintenance, and enterprise infrastructure operations across Shared
IT & Enterprise Services environments. This position is located in
Baltimore, MD Your future duties and responsibilities: . Install,
configure, upgrade, and maintain infrastructure supporting the
Modern Development Environment (MDE), including tools such as
Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, WebSphere/Liberty, UrbanCode Deploy,
Splunk, Dynatrace, and other SITES-managed services. . Perform
Windows Server (2016) and RHEL operational support, including
patching, monitoring, incident resolution, and configuration
updates. . Manage Active Directory, account provisioning, access
controls, group policies, and user/workstation support across
development and validation LANs. . Execute tool upgrades,
migrations, re-hosting, and environment changes using
agency-approved automation frameworks (e.g., Ansible/Tower). .
Perform daily and scheduled environment health checks, analyze
logs, triage failures, and implement corrective actions across MDE
Ops tools and virtual infrastructure. . Create and maintain
automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to streamline
operational tasks, health monitoring, deployments, and
configuration management. . Provide infrastructure support for z/OS
and Linux-based WebSphere/Liberty, DR exercises, ATO activities,
and cross-team coordination with security, network, database, and
cloud groups. . Maintain documentation for upgrades, architecture
changes, troubleshooting procedures, and operational standards;
publish change records and service updates. . Support customer
service activities including ticket triage, problem resolution,
knowledge transfer, and user onboarding to MDE tools. . Provide
weekly status updates, problem reports, and activity summaries per
government reporting expectations. Required qualifications to be
successful in this role: . Ability to obtain and maintain Public
Trust clearance . Bachelor's degree 7 years of relevant IT
experience . Strong experience administering RHEL (7) and Windows
Server (2016) in enterprise environments. . Hands on experience
with DevOps/infrastructure tools (e.g., Jenkins, Nexus, SonarQube,
Git, or similar), and ability to perform upgrades, configuration,
and troubleshooting. . Experience supporting application platforms
such as WebSphere/Liberty, UrbanCode Deploy, or equivalent
middleware technologies. . Proficiency creating automation and
operational scripts using Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar
languages. . Familiarity with virtualization technologies
(VMware/ESXi, Hyper V, or cloud based virtual infrastructure). .
Ability to produce clear documentation and communicate technical
information to both technical and non technical audiences. Desired
qualifications/non-essential skills required: . Experience
supporting federal agencies or large enterprise operational
environments. . Knowledge of DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and
modern operations practices. CGI is required by law in some
jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation
range for this role. The determination of this range includes
various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience,
relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the
ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does
not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their
role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and
circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current
range for this role in the U.S. is $63,700.00 - $156,700.00. CGI
