Modernization Sector has a career opportunity for a Project Manager
SME to join our dynamic DES (Defense Enclave Services) team
supporting DISA at Fort Meade, MD on a hybrid basis. PROGRAM
SUMMARY: The Defense Enclave Services contract will unify the DoD
Fourth Estate Defense Agencies and Field Activities’ (DAFAs) common
use information technology systems, personnel, functions, and
program elements under the direction of DISA’s Fourth Estate
Network Optimization program office. It will unify the DAFAs on a
common, modernized network architecture, DoDNet, to provide mission
services focused on enhanced user experience, improved security,
and network reliability. Telework: 10%, Selected candidate will be
required to be on site 3-4 days per week at the Pentagon CLEARANCE
REQUIREMENT: Must have an ACTIVE SECRET or above clearance
required. (US Citizenship required) Job Summary We are seeking an
experienced, high-touch Project Manager SME to lead the end-to-end
migration of endpoints (laptops, mobile devices, peripherals,
printers, etc.) for VIPs and high-level stakeholders. The role
requires a unique blend of technical expertise in endpoint
management, exceptional white-glove client service, and the ability
to proactively manage security risks and stakeholder expectations
with minimal disruption. Key Responsibilities: White-Glove
Migration Delivery: Independently plan and execute the migration of
endpoints for senior leaders, ensuring zero or minimal downtime,
data loss, or disruption to their daily operations. Executive
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact and
liaison for VIPs, communicating technical concepts clearly,
managing expectations, and building trust. Project Planning &
Scheduling: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and
milestones specific to the needs of VIP workflows, including
pre-migration testing and post-migration support. Financial
Oversight: Lead financial oversight of the overall project
including ownership of the Estimate at Complete (EAC) and proactive
resource forecasting to ensure efficient project execution and
alignment with financial forecast. Risk Mitigation & Security:
Identify potential issues, establish contingency plans, and ensure
all migrations adhere to stringent data security and compliance
policies. Vendor & IT Coordination: Coordinate with internal IT
engineering teams and third-party vendors to handle complex
logistical and technical requirements. Data Integrity & Validation:
Validate that all applications, data, and access permissions are
fully functional on the new endpoints post-migration. Required
Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited
college or university in a business discipline and 12 – 15 years of
prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior
relevant experience. Specific experience, education and training
may be considered in lieu of degree. Has expert knowledge of
industry practices, advanced techniques and solutions within a
professional discipline to develop new standards, processes, and
solutions. Serves as a subject matter expert across Leidos. 5 years
of technical project management experience in infrastructure,
endpoint management, or IT migration projects, with at least 2
years focused on executive or VIP support. Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of endpoint technologies (Windows 10/11, macOS,
Intune, Active Directory), security tools, and data migration
processes. Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written
communication skills, with experience presenting to senior
leadership and managing high-stakes client relationships. Project
Management Methodologies: Proficiency in using PM tools such as MS
Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or ServiceNow. Certification: PMP
(Project Management Professional) certification preferred. Key
Success Factors: Proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of
ownership and accountability. Ability to thrive in a dynamic,
fast-paced environment and handle confidential information with
discretion. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to
customize technical solutions for non-technical high-level users.

Range: Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00 The Leidos pay range for
this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of

well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable
