Anacosta-Bolling (JBAB), Washington DC - 100% on site Shift: Core
hours: 6am - 6p; Shift: 10am - 6pm (M-F) ; After hours support -
Required (Duty phone will rotate between team members).
Certifications required: Requires a current 8140 IAT Level II
(Advanced) certificate (Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
/Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security) Security
Clearance Active DOD Secret clearance Essential Job Functions
Monitor data or infrastructure system networks for various
messages, alarms, or issues. Identify issues or problems and
resolves as appropriate; escalates when necessary. Troubleshoot
problems using scripts and standard, routine procedures; escalates
as appropriate. Initiate resolution as appropriate for enterprise
level routers and switches. Interface with vendors to ensure
appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced
performance. Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as
directed by management. Maintain required security posture on all
network equipment in accordance with DoD and local command mandates
and requirements, including updates, STIGs, IOS upgrades, and other
basic network security requirements. Support special projects and
day?to?day operations as needed or assigned by the site lead
Support on-call rotation schedule Basic Qualifications Bachelor's
degree (in computer science/systems, information
systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software
engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social
sciences, mathematics, or business/finance) with a minimum of 8
years of related experience, additional years of relevant
experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Currently possess
an Active DoD Secret security clearance Requires a current 8140 IAT
Level II (Advanced) certificate (Cisco Certified Network Associate
(CCNA) /Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security)
Expert knowledge with LAN switching, including Virtual Local Area
Networks (VLANs), VLAN Trunk Protocol (VTP), Port Security,
Spanning Tree, and Layer 2 and 3 switching configurations. Expert
knowledge with Layer 3 routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS, etc.)
and best practices on implementation. Expert knowledge with with
L1/L2 network troubleshooting (Unclassified and Classified Expert
knowledge of DoD network and application security hardening
requirements Experienced with programming, maintaining, and
troubleshooting encryption devices at network points of presence
including management via GEM-X or other DoD management tools.
Experienced with DoD COMSEC management processes and procedures
Preferred Qualifications Experienced with Cisco ISE and Cisco DNA
Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR Experienced working
at the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and Joint Base
Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) The above statements are intended to
