Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to lead
Agile teams in delivering mission-critical solutions for government
contracts, software development, and technology initiatives. The
Senior Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating Agile
ceremonies, coaching teams, and ensuring successful project
execution while aligning with corporate goals and government
compliance requirements. The ideal candidate has extensive
experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban), a strong
background in software development projects, and expertise in
government contracting. This role will work closely with Product
Owners, Engineers, and Program Managers to enhance Agile adoption
and more. Key Responsibilities: Scrum Facilitation: Lead all Scrum
ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint
reviews, and retrospectives. Agile Coaching & Mentoring: Guide
Agile teams and stakeholders in Scrum, SAFe, and Lean-Agile best
practices. Project Coordination: Ensure Agile teams deliver
high-quality, value-driven products in alignment with government
contracts and software development roadmaps. Impediment Resolution:
Identify and remove blockers affecting Agile teams, working closely
with engineering, product management, and executive leadership.
Process Optimization: Continuously improve Agile workflows, team
velocity, and sprint execution strategies. Cross-Team
Collaboration: Work with other Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and
technical leads to ensure alignment across programs and Agile
Release Trains (ARTs). Stakeholder Communication: Provide status
updates, sprint reports, and performance insights to executive
leadership and government stakeholders. Risk & Compliance
Management: Ensure Agile processes align with FAR, DFARS, DCAA, and
other government contract regulations. Metrics & Reporting: Track
Agile KPIs such as velocity, burn-down charts, cycle time, and
sprint success rates. Security Clearance Requirements: An
eligibility of Top-Secret is required for this position. The
applicant may be subject to SCI eligibility requirements, including
but not limited to a Full-Scope Polygraph. All applicants will
undergo a security prescreening during the application process
regardless of existing level of security clearance. Qualifications
& Requirements: Citizenship Requirements: US Citizens only; must
reside in the United States. Education: Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science, Business, IT, or a related field. Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in Agile project management,
including 5 years as a Scrum Master in government or enterprise
technology environments. Agile Expertise: Strong knowledge of
Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Lean-Agile frameworks. Scrum Certifications:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified SAFe Scrum Master (SSM),
PMI-ACP, or equivalent required. Agile Tool Proficiency: Experience
with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Rally, or
similar Agile project management tools. Government Contracting
Experience: Understanding of FAR, DFARS, Agile compliance, and
federal project execution. Team Leadership & Coaching: Ability to
mentor teams, drive Agile transformations, and enhance
organizational Agile maturity. Technical expertise: Scrum, SAFe,
Kanban, Lean-Agile Best Practices JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft
Project, Azure DevOps Agile Release Train (ART) & PI Planning
Facilitation Government Contracting & Agile Compliance (FAR, DFARS,
DCAA) Team Velocity, Sprint Planning, Agile KPIs & Reporting
Stakeholder & Executive Communication Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to stand for
extended periods of time. Ability to walk to various locations as
needed. Ability to bend and navigate to perform assigned duties.
Ability to lift light to moderate equipment as needed for job.
