Job Description:

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our dedicated team within the Healthcare & Medical Services department, providing exceptional cardiology services at our state-of-the-art facilities. This role involves assisting with the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular ailments using a variety of imaging technologies, including but not limited to echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, and electrocardiograms. The successful candidate will work closely with cardiologists to perform essential functions and procedures that contribute to the delivery of comprehensive patient care. Perform non-invasive procedures like echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and other diagnostic tests. Assist cardiologists during invasive procedures such as catheterizations. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining methods and providing appropriate support. Monitor and record patient responses to treatments and report relevant information to the attending cardiologist. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Adhere to safety standards and protocols to ensure patient and staff safety. Proficiency with cardiovascular imaging technologies Strong understanding of cardiology and patient care techniques Ability to handle high-stress situations and make quick decisions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered as a Cardiovascular Technologist with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). BLS/ACLS certification
