Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to
join our inpatient rehabilitation team. Our facility excels in
providing personalized treatment plans to help patients regain
independence after experiencing serious illnesses or injuries. The
successful candidate will be instrumental in assessing patient
conditions, developing individualized treatment strategies, and
collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient
care. This position offers you the opportunity to make a
significant difference in the lives of patients, by supporting
their recovery and enhancing their communicative abilities.
Evaluate patient speech, language, cognitive-communication, and
swallowing abilities. Develop and implement tailored treatment
plans based on individual patient needs and goals. Document
progress and adjust treatments accordingly. Educate patients and
families about communication techniques and strategies. Collaborate
with healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate team treatment
plans. Participate in ongoing education to ensure best practice and
updated knowledge on speech therapy innovations. Strong
understanding of speech disorders and treatment methods. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work
collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. High degree of
empathy and professionalism. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance 401k ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP). State licensure
as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
