Job Description:
Are you seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in
Virginia? We are looking for a qualified and board-certified
General Surgeon to provide call coverage near Red House, VA. This
short-term assignment offers a chance to make a meaningful impact
while working in an established facility. Assignment Details
Location: Near Red House, Virginia Dates: December 27, 2024 ???
December 30, 2024 Coverage Type: Call only (beeper) Practice
Setting: Inpatient Patients Per Shift: Varies Rounding: Both
inpatient and outpatient rounding required Required Qualifications
Board Certification: Must be board-certified or board-eligible in
General Surgery Licensure: Must hold an active Virginia medical
license Experience: Prior experience in general surgery, including
adult and pediatric cases Skills and Procedures The ideal candidate
should be proficient in the following: Laparoscopic surgery
Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, and Hernioplasty Trauma surgery
Breast and head/neck surgeries Endoscopic procedures (Upper GI,
Lower GI) Chest tube insertion and central line placement Minor
orthopedic and vascular surgeries Additional Details Temporary
Privileges Available: Yes Trauma Level: 0 EMR Systems: Athena and
Meditech Support Staff: Includes 3???4 RNs; no residents or
teaching supervision required Response Time: 30 minutes for
call-backs Travel and Logistics Travel Costs: Provided by the
vendor Nearest Airport: Recommendations provided upon assignment
confirmation Lodging: Assistance available This position offers a
