license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI preferred, NIHSS
preferred Must-Have: - MS/Tele and Cardiac Tele experience required
- ER holding experience required - Candidate must successfully pass
the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of
80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms - Every 3rd weekend
required - Float required to MS, MS/Tele, IMC, and ED Boarder
Description: The Med Surg Float RN will be required to float to
various units including medical-surgical, intermediate care, and
emergency department border patients. Travelers will be expected to
care for patients on inpatient units or ED boarders as needed. Must
have experience in telemetry and cardiac telemetry. ACLS and BLS
certifications are required for this position. Experience with CPI
and NIHSS is preferred. The nurse will be expected to have skills
in managing ports, blood product administration, and interpretation
of arterial blood gases (ABGs). Other responsibilities include
managing dysrhythmias, wound care, and non-invasive airway
management. The nurse will work with interdisciplinary support
teams, including physical therapy and rapid response teams.
Applicants must be willing to float to various units as needed.
