the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Neuro ICU RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20010! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum of 2 years License: Must have license in hand prior to
start date Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidate
must successfully pass the EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a
minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
Candidate must have DC license in hand prior to the start date.
Description: 3G Neuro ICU RN position available on a 3x12 schedule.
Majority of shifts will be day shifts, with up to two weeks of
night shifts possible within the six-week schedule. Experience with
specialized equipment such as EVD, Raumedic Bolt, Arctic Sun, CVVH,
lytic catheter Flo-tracker, and PA-catheter is advantageous.
Required skills include conscious sedation, ICP monitoring, and
ventilator management. Preferred skills include experience with
Level 1 trauma, pulmonary artery lines, IV starts, and phlebotomy.
No call requirements are expected except for specified night
shifts. Candidate must be able to float between units of equivalent
or lower acuity as needed. The facility requires all employees to
have the flu vaccine. Staffing ratios are 2 patients per nurse
during day and night shifts. The average daily census in the unit
is 14 patients. Interdisciplinary support is available from various
teams including physical therapy and respiratory services. The
patient population primarily includes adults and geriatrics with
diagnoses such as SAH, ischemic stroke, brain mass, and head
trauma. Experience in neuro-intensive care is preferred. 5 Benefits
