Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - PCU Float Pool /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• Float to all PCU/Tele units within the hospital as needed /n• May work on different units each shift including PCU, overflow, medical, and surgical floors /n• Patient ratios: PCU 1:4 (may go to 5), Medical/Surgical 1:5 (may go to 1:6 rarely) /n• Required to titrate drips including cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin /n• Must read and interpret EKG strips and pass ECG exam /n• Work with equipment including CPAP, high flow oxygen /n• Care for patients with stroke, chest pain, arrhythmias, post-surgical, sepsis, respiratory failure /n• Every other weekend requirement with minimum 4 weekend shifts in 6-week period /n• Holiday coverage required as needed /n• 3 shifts orientation on 3 different units plus general facility orientation /n• Navy scrubs required /n• 1-2 years experience required with proficiency in neuro assessments and cardiac drips /n• Required certifications: BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS /n• EPIC experience required /n• Prior travel experience required /n• Overtime opportunities available /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates as a comprehensive medical center featuring multiple specialized units including a 52-bed neuro PCU and 52-bed medical surgical unit.
