Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Martinsburg, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,236 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Basic arrhythmia knowledge and ability to recognize fatal rhythms Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical Surgical. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, with every other weekend and holidays as needed. The unit consists of a mix of semi-private and private rooms. Patient ratios are expected to be 1:5-6 for both shifts. Common diagnoses in this setting include a wide variety of conditions, such as altered mental status, cardiac patients without active chest pain, renal patients, and oncology cases. The nurse will collaborate with an in-house hospitalist and intensivist team available 24/7. There will be no IV team; therefore, nurses should be competent in IV administration. Remote monitoring for telemetry patients is available, but candidates should have basic arrhythmia knowledge. Nurses will be expected to float to other medical surgical units when necessary. A floor-specific orientation will be provided. Scrub color is navy blue, and jackets may be navy or white, with white or navy undershirts. Excessive or distasteful tattoos must be covered, and hair should be a natural color. Travelers may be required to work holidays based on unit needs.
