Job Title: MS/Tele RN - Nights Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg Oncology Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience is preferred. - Must have experience with a patient ratio of 1:5. Description: This position is for a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse, working on a night shift. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Two years of experience in a similar role is required, but first-time travelers are accepted. Staff will float within the specialty and may be required to assist in lower acuity settings as needed. Staff will need to provide care for a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit accommodates a variety of patient diagnoses, particularly in Med/Surg-Oncology. Mandatory holidays will be scheduled as they fall, and staff must work every other weekend. Caring for patients may involve the management of various medical tasks and procedures, including cardiac telemetry and medication administration. Staff should be familiar with rhythm basics and capable of interpreting dysrhythmias. The unit benefits from a collaborative work environment with interdisciplinary support teams.
