Schedule Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) and Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) shifts. Job Description The CVICU Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care for patients following cardiac surgery, including those who are under intensive monitoring for cardiac-related complications. This role involves managing patients with diverse cardiac conditions, including postoperative recovery and stabilizing hemodynamic status. Responsibilities - Monitor and manage patients post-cardiac surgery, including CABG, MVR, and AVR. - Administer medications and titrate vasoactive drips as required. - Assist with advanced procedures, including ECMO, IABP, and CRRT. - Perform respiratory care for ventilated patients and interpret arterial blood gases. - Provide patient education and support preoperatively and postoperatively. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - 2 years of CVICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted with relevant experience. - Current MD RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required; CPI, OCN, and TCNN preferred. - Preferred previous charge experience and teaching hospital experience.
