Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Orthopedics Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Medical Surgical Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Reading, PA. Job Function: Day Shift. 3x12: 7am - 7pm. Prepares and administers (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Reports adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications. Educates patients on surgical procedures. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs. Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays. Job Requirements: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN). Current State RN license (or willingness to obtain). 1-2 years of acute care experience in this speciality. BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
