Job Description:
Job Title: MRI Technician Profession: MRI Tech Specialty: MRI
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 (7:00 AM - 7:30
PM) Experience: 2 years of recent MRI experience required License:
ARRT (R) (MRI) certified or ARMIT with current registration
required Certifications: CPR BLS via AHA Must-Have: - Completion of
an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent -
Prefer one year of experience in an imaging modality - Completion
of at least one travel assignment Description: Assignment involves
performing diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ
systems, and blood flow studies. Screens patients and manages room
transitions effectively. Experience in breast procedures is a plus.
Works under the supervision of the MRI Manager or Chief Imaging
Technologist. Provides radiologists with the images necessary to
obtain diagnostic results. Ensures a comprehensive diagnostic
report is available to the referring physician. Orients physicians,
residents, staff, and student technologists on magnetic resonance
imaging and safety protocols. Assists nursing staff in the area,
such as witnessing the wasting of medications and documenting in
the system.
