License: Valid state license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS are required. Must-Have: - Triage experience is mandatory. - Must have travel experience. - Required skills include expert prioritization and organizational skills to manage a fast-paced ER environment. Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Emergency Room care. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in an emergency department that sees a minimum of 45,600 visits per year. Triage experience is required and is considered a hard stop for this position. The role requires managing a high volume of patients with a typical daily census of 130. Nurses will be responsible for tasks including triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, and care for ventilated patients. Knowledge in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is essential. Experience with CPAP/BiPAP is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is beneficial. Nurses must also be proactive in using isolation precautions as necessary. The nurse-to-patient ratio in the ER is typically 1:4. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility to participate in weekend and holiday rotation as needed.
