US Department of Veterans Affairs is in search of 2
Hematology/Oncology Physicians!!Experience working with Fellows and
being computer savvy is a must!!! Medical oncologists are concerned
with the study and treatment of cancer.Medical Oncologists work in
the inpatient and outpatient settings where they interprettest
results and diagnose as well as treat malignancies.Medical
Oncologists work with other clinicians within a multidisciplinary
team toevaluate and treat patients.Hematology is a constantly
developing area of medicine and provides scope forclinical and
laboratory experience. Work activities may involve:1. preparing and
interpreting blood and bone marrow samples2. analyzing blood
samples using computer-aided and manual techniques3. reviewing
initial data that may reveal abnormalities in white or red
bloodcells, platelets or clotting factors4. deciding on additional
hematologic testing5. prescribing treatment for individual
patients6. investigating the biochemistry of blood clotting7.
assisting colleagues in the interpretation of hematologic test
results8. selecting appropriate techniques for different types of
hematological analysis9. working as part of a multidisciplinary
team that may include bone marrowtransplantation specialists,
hematologic subspecialists, orhematopathologists10. teaching or
training medical students and other hospital staff11. providing
education and counseling to patients12. maintaining accurate and
detailed records. Benefits: Pay: Competitive salary, annual
