Job Description:
The Portfolio and Asset Management Department is responsible for
managing the Agency's Multifamily portfolio of over one hundred and
forty (140+) projects for compliance with terms of the loan
agreement and the Agency's mission of affordability requirements.
The Senior Asset Manager oversees an assigned portfolio of
multifamily properties with various loan and regulatory
requirements. S/he is tasked with monitoring the condition of each
property in their respective portfolio and collaborating with the
with other team members and departments who has a stack to achieve
maximum performance of the assets. --More specifically, the Senior
Asset Manager is responsible for the following:----ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBLITIES-- Managing a portfolio containing a greater
proportion of at-risk properties. --Monitoring the affordability
requirements and marketability of properties within the portfolio
and conducting analysis and developing assessments/action plans for
the at-risk properties.-- Performing annual property inspections to
ensure viability, prudent operational performance, and fiscal
management. Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) inspection
certification preferred.-- Collaborating with the Portfolio Manager
to identify cost containment opportunities.-- Reviewing proposed
operating budgets and audited financial statements to identify
potential issues and monitoring pre-payable and maturing loans.
Utilizing networking opportunities to develop relationships for
potential financing opportunities.-- Serving as primary contact for
a range of constituencies.-- Assisting the Director in providing
guidance and training to Asset Managers and updating and developing
policies and procedures.-- Collaborating with Business Development,
Underwriting, Loan Servicing and Subsidy Administration staff to
further the Agency's efforts.-- Reviewing and authorizing escrow
disbursements and distribution requests.-- Conduct desk reviews,
Management Operation Reviews (MORS), and Property Management
Reviews of assigned Risk Share and Non-Risk Share projects-- Review
and analyze consent/loan modification request for Agency
conformity.-- Performing other duties as assigned by the
Director.KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS:-- Bachelor's Degree in Real
Estate, Business, or another related field from an accredited
university or equivalent experience is required-- Masters in Real
Estate Development (MRED) or a Master's in Business Administration
(MBA) IS a plus-- 7 +years of experience in Real Estate, Asset
Management or Property Management---- Certified Occupancy
Specialist Certification a plus-- Knowledge of affordable housing,
Low Income Housing Tax Credits, Tax Exempt Bond Programs and HUD
Affordable Housing Programs---- Knowledge of building codes and
maintenance and housing quality standards-- Expertise in Portfolio
Management-- Understanding of federal, state, municipal code,
regulations; contract law; and real estate law---- Must possess
strong research, project management, organizational, analytical,
and math/quantitative skill---- Excellent communication skills:
both verbal and written with the ability to make presentations--
Must possess strong working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft
