Job Description Job Description Background Blue Engineering and
Consulting Company (BLUE), an engineering and consulting firm
specializing in providing engineering and technical support to the
liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, is looking for an energetic,
highly motivated and well-qualified Process Safety Engineer to join
our team in Ellicott City, MD. Job Description The team will look
to you for tactical problem-solving for clients and development and
review of process safety deliverables. The ideal candidate will
possess a BS or higher degree in engineering. Essential Functions
and Job Responsibilities include: - HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA Study
Facilitation - QRA Studies - Facility Siting Analysis - Vapor cloud
and explosion modeling - Pool fire and jet fire modeling -
Asphyxiation modeling - Building Siting Analysis - Safety and
Security Specifications/Designs - Process Safety Design Reviews -
Providing process safety services as Owner’s Engineer reviewing EPC
Contractor engineering deliverables in the detailed design,
procurement, and construction phases, - Assisting with management
of change/PHAs for changes in final design, - Communicating
effectively in verbal and written form with clients and teammates
Qualified candidates will have experience/familiarity in most of
the following areas: - Familiarity with industrial/LNG facility
designs, - Familiarity with applicable process safety
standards/good engineering practices, - Experience and ability to
use modeling/PHA software, - Excellent verbal and written
communication skills, - Ability to multi-task across different
projects and manage time and schedule commitments, - Excellent
organizational skills - Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft
Office Suite), - Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team
building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills,
and - Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work
independently with minimal oversight. Minimum Qualifications -
Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited
program. - Minimum of 7 years related work experience. The
candidates must be authorized to work in the US and have a valid
passport. A background check and drug test may be required as a
