Job Description:
The Data Flow Engineer will use software, scripts and
NIAGARAFILES (NiFi) plug-ins to provide a resilient data flow
architecture. Engineer, design, develop and roll-out Data Flow
Systems. Provide software and flow management support to sustain
the deployed products. NiFi is the primary tool for Data Flow
Management, and expertise with the product is required. Reviews and
test software components for adherence to the design requirements
and documents test results. Resolves software problem reports.
Utilizes software development and software design methodologies
appropriate to development and dataflow environment. The Data Flow
Engineer shall be able to perform the following indicate tasks:
Participate in technical, architectural, and/or developmental
efforts towards extending the capabilities of Data Transport for
the Enterprise Supports overarching planning and support for
efforts advancements in technology Participates in requirements
engineering, designing, and the rollout of Data Flow Systems
Participates in research activities and analysis of alternatives
for the introduction of new technologies in to the enterprise. Two
(2) years’ experience with developing, testing and integrating Data
Flows and Data Flow systems One (1) year of experience using Data
Flow tools such as NIAGARAFILES, and designing Data Flow systems
Ten (10) years of overall relevant experience in projects of
similar scope, type and complexity. A Bachelor’s degree may be
substituted for four (4) years of experience, reducing the
requirement to six (6) years of experience.
