Physicist, Lead Key Role: Leverage physics expertise to test and analyze physical pheno mena to support S & T client challenges. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with limited oversight. Mentor or supervise junior staff in both company and technical competencies. Basic Qualifications: 11 years of experience c ond ucting systems engineering or research developing and advancing physics-based models for target defeat mechanisms and weapon s effects 5 years of experience with computational dynamics and modeling, including solving partial differential equations using numerical met hods such as finite element, finite volume, and finite difference Experience creating sof tware tools that generate images with realistic, physics-based artifacts and qualities to support anomaly detection and classification Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam Bachelor's degree in Physics or Applied Mathematics Additional Qualifications: Experience as a task lead on research and development projects Experience with DoD agencies Experience with military operations, biological command, control, communications, survivability, and hard target defeat Knowledge of systems engineering, data science, artifi cia l intelligence, and machine learning Knowledge of weapon s control technology Ability to evaluate all project aspects, including design, development, execution, and implementation of target analysis TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph Master's degree in Physics or Applied Mathematics Clearance : Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
