Job Description Job Description We’re looking for an Experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician ready to take the next step into a leadership role. This position is ideal for a strong residential service tech with 2–5 years of hands-on experience who also has experience leading, mentoring, and helping build a service team. You’ll remain active in the field while playing a key role in supporting junior technicians, improving service processes, and helping grow a high-performing residential HVAC service department. Key Responsibilities Include: Diagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems (gas furnaces, heat pumps, AC, boilers, mini-splits) Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups Clearly explain issues and solutions to homeowners in a professional, friendly manner Accurately complete service tickets, notes, and recommendations Follow safety procedures and company standards Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle Participate in on-call rotation as needed Upsell repairs and replacements ethically and honestly when appropriate Lead by example with a strong focus on quality workmanship, safety, and customer experience Mentor and support junior residential technicians; assist with onboarding and training Help build and refine residential service department systems, workflows, and standards Communicate clearly with dispatch, management, and homeowners Provide troubleshooting support and technical guidance to other technicians Maintain accurate service documentation Represent the company professionally in customers’ homes Requirements 2–5 years of residential HVAC service experience HVAC Journeyman EPA Universal Certification (required) Experience acting as a lead technician, mentor, or trainer Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on residential systems Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Strong communication, leadership, and customer-facing skills Ability to work independently while supporting team development Benefits Competitive pay based on experience ($38/hour starting pay, more for more experience) Performance bonuses and spiffs Company vehicle, tools, and IPad Health, dental, and vision insurance 401k after one year of employment Paid time off and paid holidays Ongoing technical and leadership training Clear growth path into Service Manager or Operations leadership
