Job Description Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description As a Pre-Production Engineer, you will manage, plan, implement, and follow up on activities associated with Model Line projects. Your role will include detailed planning and milestone management to ensure a successful model launch that is timely, cost-effective, and produces high-quality parts. You will work within the company's policies and may be assigned additional duties. Responsibilities Plan, implement, and follow up on Model Line activities, including data collection, analysis, and document preparation. Develop and manage logical plans, implement them, and oversee follow-up activities. Complete standardized work documents. Motivate and direct a team through practical problem-solving. Present the results of your work effectively. Develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems. Perform engineering design evaluations and develop various processes. Recommend improvements to product quality and procedures. Utilize standard concepts, practices, and procedures within your field to solve problems and implement improvements. Identify issues and present corrective plans. Work on assignments and tasks as directed by your supervisor. Manage project schedules, including detailed activities and event milestones, to ensure a timely and cost-effective model launch. Essential Skills Manufacturing engineering Process improvement Continuous improvement Equipment layout Process flow Work instructions Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) SolidWorks Creo Lean manufacturing Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering Experience with manufacturing documentation, such as work instructions and process layouts Work Environment You will join a team of experienced engineers in a fast-paced automotive environment, working on new program launches. The typical work hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM in an assembly environment. You will benefit from a collaborative team with good tenure. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr.
