Test Engineer will be testing rack mounts (rack mount server systems and components). Client is looking for candidates that have more experience in coding with languages: C#, BASH, BATCH, Python, etc.
The Test Engineer will work with development of the equipment and systems used to test product in a production release / production operations environment. They also provide support to Production Operations when there is an engineering related issue with a production item that has fallen out of the production test process due to a test equipment and or systems issue.

Position Overview:
As a Test Engineer will be to ensure the quality and reliability of various rack mount server systems, components, and equipment used in defense and aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:
*Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and project managers, to understand the requirements and specifications of defense and aerospace systems.
*Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
*Design and develop test procedures, protocols, and scripts to execute functional, integration, performance, and stress testing of defense and aerospace systems.
*Execute tests, record and analyze test results, and document any issues or anomalies encountered during testing.
*Identify and troubleshoot system defects or failures, working closely with the design and development teams to investigate and resolve issues.
*Create detailed test reports, including test procedures, results, and recommendations for improvements or modifications to the systems.
*Communicate test findings, status updates, and recommendations to project stakeholders, including engineering teams, project managers, and clients. Test Automation and Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes and increase efficiency.
*Continuously evaluate and improve test methodologies, tools, and processes to enhance test coverage, reliability, and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:
*Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
*Solid understanding of test methodologies, test development, and test execution.
*Proficiency in programming languages (such as Python, C/C++) and experience with test automation frameworks
*Previous experience testing rack mounts and servers is highly desirable.
*Experience with test equipment, tools, and software commonly used in defense and aerospace testing (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, environmental chambers).
*Knowledge of defense and aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., MIL-STD, DO-178C, DO-254, AS9100).
*Prior experience in the defense and aerospace industry is highly desirable.
