Analysis Engineer (Structural Lead) to join our Structures Analysis
team within the Hardware Engineering OrganizationOur work includes,

Position Overview: This position includes both leadership of
analysts and direct execution of structural analysis projects on
airborne, shipboard, and ground based structuresAnalysis tasks will
encompass loads development, stress analysis (static and fatigue),
and vibration analysis of metallic and composite
structuresStructural Lead tasks will include mentoring, estimating,
planning, staffing recommendations, preparation of deliverable
documentation and statusing program customersStructural Leads are
expected to work closely with Integrated Product Team (IPT)
Leads/Product Owners to: meet aggressive schedules, develop
innovative solutions to complex technical problems, and advise
program and functional management on technical risks and
opportunitiesStaff Engineers are expected to work towards long term
organizational goals, by improving processes, conducting research,
and identifying efficiency and competitive advantage
opportunitiesDuties and Responsibilities may Include:--- Performing
structural analysis on aerospace, shipboard, ground based, and
space radar systems and structures.--- Loads development, stress
analysis (static and fatigue), and vibration analysis of metallic
and composite structures.--- Performing classical structural
analysis, as well as, finite element analysis is essentialUtilizing
excellent written and verbal communication skills are important for
clear communication of results through reports and
presentations.--- Collaborate in a team environment, mentor less
experienced personnel, prioritize and organize tasks to support
program milestonesBasic Qualifications:--- Bachelor of Science in
Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering
* Typical minimum structural analysis experience / education: 14
years with Bachelors of Science; 12 years with Masters, 9 years
with a PhD
* Strong background in classical structural and finite element
analysis including static, non-linear, modal, and vibration
analysis.
* Awareness for cost reduction, weight management and structural
efficiency
* Significant experience and comfort with FEA using
NX.CAE(SimCenter 3D)/NX.Nastran, Ansys, or MSC Patran/Nastran
* Significant experience with Microsoft Office applications
* Experience developing FEMs at the detail and assembly levels
* Structural project leadership or stress team leadership
experience, with responsibility for multiple analysts' work
* Comfort with presentation to internal and external customers
* US Citizenship
* The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance per
business requirements Preferred Qualifications:--- Significant
experience with airborne products, environments and
requirements
* Advanced degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil Engineering or a
related field.
* Active Secret, or Top Secret/SCI clearance
* Experience with structural test applicationsThis position is
contingent on the ability to obtain or maintain a US Secret
