Job Description Job Description Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1 years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available for a contract assignment in the Baltimore area, MD. This role involves providing essential speech therapy support to students in PreK through 5th grade across two elementary schools. The assignment begins February 16, 2026, and runs through May 29, 2026, with the possibility of extension into the Extended School Year program in July. Work Locations and Schedule: - Magnolia Elementary: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (3 days/week) - Prospect Mill Elementary: Monday, Wednesday (2 days/week) - Total: 37.5 hours per week Key Responsibilities: - Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologists in delivering therapy services to young students with speech and language challenges - Support the implementation of individualized treatment plans and progress documentation - Collaborate with school staff to ensure continuity of care and effective communication - Maintain compliance with district policies and confidentiality standards Qualifications: - Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant - Experience working with children from PreK to 5th grade preferred - Ability to pass House Bill 486 background check and fingerprinting, including employment history review - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to support a diverse student population Benefits and Perks: - Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a school-based setting - Structured work schedule with predictable hours in two locations - Supportive school district environment committed to student growth and professional development If you hold a current Maryland SLPA license and are available for a contract starting mid-February, we encourage you to express your interest.
