For over 60 years, GISW has been teaching children from preschool through twelfth grade. Aside from being the first MINTEC certified school in the USA, GISW offers a U.S. High School Diploma as well as a German International Abitur (DIA) to its students. The German International School Washington D.C. is seeking a full-time teacher for German with any other subject at the Upper School for Grades 5-12. Opening 2026/27 school year General Information - This position consists of 23.5 instructional hours per week and includes associated duties outside of the classroom (preparation, grading, supervision, responding to parents, meetings, events) - The teacher instructs students in Grades 5-12 in accordance with the following provisions:P -school curriculum -curricula according to provisions by the German International Abitur Exam (Deutschen Internationale Abiturprüfung) - Pay Range: $65,108 - $96,613 per school year Description Duties include: - Individual and small-group instruction, adapting the curriculum to the needs of students with varying abilities. - Compliance with all guidelines and rules; working with other German Schools Abroad. - Preparation, administration and grading of tests, exams, and assignments to evaluate students’ progress.
