Who We Are: Mentoring Through Athletics is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth in low- and middle-income communities. Through organized athletics, team-building activities, and educational programs, we help young people develop the skills and character they need to succeed in life. From fostering discipline and accountability to encouraging teamwork and endurance, we’re shaping tomorrow’s leaders—on and off the field. About the Role: As a Mentor Coach, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding and inspiring young athletes to develop confidence, self-esteem, and essential life skills. You’ll not only coach them in sports but also mentor them in areas like responsibility, perseverance, and teamwork. This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about youth development and understands the transformative power of athletics. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and organize athletic practices, games, and team-building activities. - Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth participants. - Teach life skills such as discipline, accountability, and teamwork through sports. - Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages growth and learning. - Collaborate with other coaches, staff, and community members to deliver impactful programs. - Monitor and support the physical, emotional, and social development of participants. What We’re Looking For: - 1 year of experience working with youth, coaching, or mentoring. - A passion for sports and youth development. - Strong communication and leadership skills. - The ability to inspire and motivate young people. - A team-first mentality with a commitment to fostering community pride.
