Job Description:
My Client is seeking a Director of Construction to lead, mentor,
and grow the Project Managment and Field teams. Client Details My
client was founded in 2005, has evolved from its roots as an
engineering firm to become a leading General Contractor in the
construction industry. With a current team of 52 dedicated
professionals, we have ambitious plans to expand our workforce to
65 as we reach an impressive $45 million arr. Our project portfolio
encompasses a diverse range of public federal, state, and local
government ventures, as well as private facility developments.
Description Strategic & Operational Leadership Develop and execute
long- and short-term construction strategies aligned with company
growth goals. Lead all construction operations, managing both
project and field teams for successful execution. Business
Development & Client Relations Represent my clients in high-level
client meetings and industry events, especially in the Design-Build
market. Cultivate relationships with architects, engineers, and
developers to generate new project opportunities. Project & Field
Management Oversee multiple active jobsites ensuring adherence to
budget, schedule, and quality benchmarks. Support PMs and
superintendents to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and deliver on
expectations. Estimating, Budgeting & Cost Control Guide
preconstruction and estimating teams to develop accurate budgets
and winning proposals. Monitor financial performance and identify
cost-saving opportunities across all projects. Quality, Risk &
Compliance Ensure projects meet high-quality standards and comply
with local and federal regulations. Support GSA clearance
compliance and foster a culture of safety and continuous
improvement. Team Development & Culture Lead, mentor, and grow a
collaborative team of 28 professionals (PMs & Field Teams).
Champion my clients values and promote a performance-driven,
team-first culture. Contract Management & Negotiations Oversee
contract development and negotiations with clients, subs, and
vendors. Ensure all agreements align with project goals and
safeguard my clients interests. Profile 10-15 years of construction
experience with a strong Design-Build background Proven leadership,
ideally as a PX or similar, ready for a Director-level role
Exceptional soft skills-motivated, hands-on, detail-oriented, and
collaborative Bachelor's Degree required; Civil Engineering
preferred Strong understanding of public/municipal and federal
construction markets Concrete self-perform experience is a plus Job
