AAP offers rigorous and high-quality master's degrees at the Hopkins Bloomberg Center in Washington, DC, at the Homewood campus in Baltimore, Maryland, and online. AAP distinguishes itself through its intensive instructional assistance, selective admissions, and over 60 dedicated full-time faculty. Tenured Krieger School faculty members serve as program chairs to oversee the academic rigor of AAP's graduate offerings. For more information, please see .Position Description Advanced Academic Programs invites applications for a program coordinator in the Financial Economics program. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, 12-month, renewable faculty position with the academic title of Lecturer or Sr. Lecturer.The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses and providing administrative support. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in teaching both in-person and asynchronous online courses, working with part-time graduate students, and engaging with diverse student populations. Preference will be given to candidates who can teach in-person classes. The position includes significant collaboration with the Program Director, Associate Program Director, and other Program Coordinators. For more information on the Financial Economics program, please visit .The expected salary range for this position is $80,200 - $109,000.ResponsibilitiesFaculty Responsibilities

  • Teach (in-person and online) 6 graduate courses per year
  • Advise students from diverse backgrounds
  • Provide innovative leadership for curriculum design and new course development
  • Participate in course and program assessment activities
  • Engage in university serviceAdministrative Responsibilities
    • Participate in adjunct faculty hiring, development, and mentoring
    • Assist in the admissions process
    • Assist in the planning of onsite and/or remote events and/or seminarsQualificationsMinimum Qualifications
      • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
      • 1-3 years of online and/or graduate-level teaching experience
      • The ability to teach a wide variety of economics coursesPreferred Qualifications
        • Ph.D. in Finance, Economics, or a related field
        • 4 or more years of online and/or graduate-level teaching experience
        • 1-3 years of economics-related work experience, for example, government service or serving as a consultant
        • Strong organizational skills
        • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and multiple deadlines
        • Excellent oral and written communication skills
